Frances Catlett was honored April 19 at the San Francisco Arts and
Culture Complex (www.sfacc.org) in the midst of a retrospective
exhibit. A new song set to her poetry was composed and performed by
Frances Kandl, piano. Vocalist Debbie Golata sang and cellist Cathy
Allen accompanied. She spoke with Gwen Mazer about her lifetime of
service as well as her creative process. Frances' elegance and active
mind are a beauty to behold, as she nears her 100th birthday this
July, 2008. See Post News.
Ann Davlin (nee Grace Lowell) died March, 2008. A memorial
celebration of her life was held April 20 in the Berkeley studio she
built 50 years ago. Many people spoke lovingly of their "magical"
experiences with her, about her devotion to discipline and creativity,
and her abilities to inspire people to be their best selves. Ann died
peacefully at Brighton Gardens, Sunrise Senior Living, in Santa Rosa,
CA. She would be 98 this May, 2008.

Join us for an interactive workshop about these themes and more! Co-sponsored by Kiehl’s.
